Let’s have a little fun with Land of My Dreams! You send me photos of my book in different settings and I put your name in a drawing! From March 11th through April 1st, send me your photos and I will enter your name in a drawing. I’m offering three $10 Amazon cards as prizes! One entry for each photo you send! Details are below!

On the other hand, finding new ways to publicize a book takes up an inordinate amount of an author’s time. It keeps us from writing. It consumes our thoughts. It frustrates us.

I will be at Mayo Clinic for some medical treatment during the month of March. My husband can’t make the trip this time. Nothing would cheer me up like photos of Land of My Dreams coming from my readers! Let’s team up and have some fun!

My publisher, Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, wants to begin publicizing books on Instagram. The way to do this is to take photos of Land of My Dreams in a lot of different places with a lot of different people. Your name won’t be attached to the photo at all, so no worries there. However, this is something I can’t do alone.

Followers like to see more than just a book cover. They like to see your book out and about.

Below are a few examples of how other authors promote their book on Instagram and Pinterest.

Any image with Land of My Dreams book is a great pic! Other ideas include:

• Book with a cup of coffee or tea
• Book and a puppy or dog
• Someone holding your book
• Someone reading your book
• Your book in a scenic place
• Your book in nature
• Highlighted sections of a print version of your book
• ebook version with highlighted sections (if you have the Kindle app for your PC or Mac and can do screenshots, this is a great way to highlight sections of your book)

The idea is to have good, strong visuals and Land of My Dreams in the picture. Be creative.
